Please Welcome Aiden!

I am excited to announce the arrival of this little man we have been wait on so anxiously for these last 37 weeks, Aiden. Weighing in at a whopping 4 pounds 12 ounces, this little guy was born last week and we couldn't be more excited to welcome this very little bundle of joy.

As most parents will tell you, once you have a child your life will take a dramatic change. I, for one, have not slept for more than 3 hours at a time for going on over a week. I never thought it possible for a human to survive on that little of sleep, but somehow I keep on managing. Priorities such as cleaning, cooking, putting make-up on, finishing home improvement projects and dare I say blogging, have all taken a back burner to the schedule of this little guy, and that schedule changes daily!

Though it may sound as if I am complaining about the change in our life, I love every minute of it. So wish me luck as I turn the page to this new sleepless chapter in our lives. I know I will probably only remember the good memories and forget the zombie like trance I am in during the day. In the end it is all worth it when you see that little smile on his face at 3:32am, the time of the day when he is most awake.

"Lullaby" by Dixie Chics

They didn't have you where I come from
Never knew the best was yet to come
Life began when I saw your face
And I hear your laugh like a serenade

How long do you want to be loved
Is forever enough, is forever enough
How long do you want to be loved
Is forever enough
Cause I'm never, never giving you up

I slip in bed when you're asleep
To hold you close and feel your breath on me
Tomorrow there'll be so much to do
So tonight I'll drift in a dream with you

How long do you want to be loved
Is forever enough, is forever enough
How long do you want to be loved
Is forever enough
Cause I'm never, never giving you up

As you wander through this troubled world
In search of all things beautiful
You can close your eyes when you're miles away
And hear my voice like a serenade

How long do you want to be loved
Is forever enough, is forever enough
How long do you want to be loved
Is forever enough
Cause I'm never, never giving you up

How long do you want to be loved
Is forever enough, is forever enough
How long do you want to be loved
Is forever enough
Cause I'm never, never giving you up
Is forever enough
Cause I'm never, never giving you up

Awww he is absolutely precious!! Congratulations to your family. Was he so small because he was born early? What a cute little peanut.

They delivered him early because he wasn't gaining weight like they wanted him too. It turned out there was a huge knot in the umbilical cord (from him doing flips or something). He's tiny and I am working night and day to pack the pounds on :) ~Beth
